Solvent

You are highly welcome. The MyBook Guru is already here, let get started. Recall the words solution, solvent and solute. The main different among the three words is illustrated below;

Solution ---------> Solvent + Solute
Solution is the combination of solvent and solute. Solvent are usually solid or gas, while solute are usually liquid. Take for instance, when you dissolve sugar in water, we usually say the sugar which is solid is the solute, while the water which is the liquid is the solvent; the mixture of the two is then called solution.

I'm going to emphasize on solvent. Do you know what we can benefit from some common solvents? It is an obvious thing that they affect our day-to-day activities. Solvents play important role in our everyday life to the extent that I can assured you to the core that, by the end of your reading you will say waooh!

In the laundries fat, oil and grease stains are removed by solvents like petrol, kerosene, or ammonia solution. Paint stains are removed by using borax in water. You can't believe it that, aromatic oils used in perfumes are dissolved in ethanol; the solvent. Iodine solution for dressing wounds in dispensary is prepared by dissolving solid iodine in ethanol. Water that we use everyday is also a solvent. Let us call it a day. Free gifts. Become an OOB reader today, just click.
